What I Am Loving Wednesday

I feel like this Wednesday there is a lot to love

I am really loving this Bible verse. I heard it Sunday at church and it has been with me all week.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will
Romans 12:2
Thank You Dale

Today I am loving that this is the first Wednesday of the month

Fitness Tip #3 Water

Drinking water is very important to staying hydrated. We all know this, but most of us are not great at making sure we drink it. I try to drink one bottle of Smart water a day, this is a 33.8 FL OZ bottle. Sometimes I can drink 2 of these.
I have read that we sometimes mistake hunger for being thirsty, knowing this can help in remembering to drink more water. When you feel those hunger pangs, its time to drink water, that's easy. For me I have found that finding something you like or love will be just the trick to get that water everyday. I happen to be obsessed with Smart Water, so it makes me excited to drink it everyday. It could be as simple as getting a new water bottle, there are so many cool ones out there today why wouldn't it be fun!

So how much water are we suppose to drink, a good rule of thumb is eight 8oz glasses a day (64oz).I can tell you now that I don't get in that much each day, but its a good goal to start working on. I get in at least half that if I drink 1 smart water bottle a day, so now I really need to get going on drinking 2 a day....totally not easy.

So if your getting fit in 2012 make sure water is a part of your everyday routine, as well as eating right, and exercise. With these factors you will be fit in no time!

Getting Fit In 2012 Update

Its now April, and I am still going strong. Turbo Fire is my motivation, the workouts keep me pumped up day after day. I don't feel board, and actually look forward everyday to my workouts. For the first time in my life I actually can say I am bummed when I don't get to workout. I still feel My Fitness Pal is the biggest help in my journey. (If you use this add me, my name is tiggy808) I use this everyday and keep track of all food I consume, and all exercise I complete. I also keep a food journal where I write down what I eat for each meal. I find myself more aware of what I am eating, which is helpful in making healthier food choices. I find that I don't crave certain foods and that I have way more will power to avoid foods. Before I would just eat whatever was easy, or available when I got hungry. I was not aware and did not know exactly what I was eating and how it would affect me later. Now think and fight myself before I make a poor food choice. I started this journey back in December 2011 and took it full force January 2012. I am pleased with my results this far and can't wait for the coming months. As of this date a total of 11.5 pounds have been shed.

This has not been easy, but with all the tools and networking it has made this journey a lot easier. I look forward to each day, and keep looking for new ways to get further along. New things to eat, new people to network with, and just knowing that I am doing my health a whole lot of good! I wish more would join in and Get Fit in 2012, its not to late to start and what better time than now. Even if its just one thing, maybe walking for 30min each day, or cutting out soda from your daily intake. Whatever it maybe any little thing can be the biggest difference.

Keep following me as I will keep posting tips along the way which have been a huge help for me. Till next time just think about what change you could do for yourself. You may be surprised at what a little change can do, which will lead to more.

I Know What You Are Thinking Fitness Tip #2

I am sure a lot of you are wondering where I have been. No blog in a few weeks, no updates on getting fit in 2012 and no tips on getting fit. I didn't fall off the get fit in 2012 wagon. I actually caught a cold, and been fighting to fend it off. I'm happy to say I am getting back to my normal self.  Unfortunately that has put a damper on my fit plan. In order to not get any sicker I opted to rest up this week rather than sweat my you know what off...which actually makes me bummed because I lost a good week of workouts. I will have to work a little harder this week to make up for the lost time.

Fitness Tip #2
To kickoff feeling better, I will give a second fitness tip that has helped me out this far. I also used this awesome tool while getting myself back to a 100%. I recommend going to this site http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ MyFitnessPal. You can use it online or download an app for your phone which I find to be super handy. Its like Facebook where you network with friends who also use this app and keep each other accountable. I would be an awesome friend to have on your list so feel free to add me if you already use this or want to start. My user name is tiggy808 so please add me.

The things I really like about MyFitnessPal are:
I love how you can log, or scan all food items in for each meal.
You also can adjust the amount of servings you eat for the individual item.
You track your workouts
Your weight

This app really makes you see what kind of food choices you are making each day. And really makes you think twice before you eat certain foods. I recommend using this to keep track of your eating habits even if your not working out. This alone could be super helpful in losing a few extra pounds.

Hope this is useful and lets all get fit in 2012.

Yummy Low Cal Snack

This is my new favorite snack. Its quick, easy and low in calories. If you like peanut butter, I recommend trying PB2. Its a powder form that you mix with water. It cuts out a lot of the junk in regular peanut butter.

There is only 3 ingredients: Roasted Peanuts, Sugar and Salt. I find that you can add water as recommended, but adjust to your liking.

For this snack I used
 2 corn thins (44cal)
 half a banana (53cal)
1tbs PB2 (23cal)
1tsp honey for flavor (13cal)
This snack is very satisfying and locks in at 133 calories.
(according to My Fitness Pal)
